Our Story
Why I started Club Israel
Hi, I'm Sam Besser. I grew up in Chicago, and after high school I volunteered to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, where I served as a combat soldier. Afterward I returned to the U.S. to study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — but my heart never left the Land of Israel.
I created Club Israel to strengthen the connection to the land for everyone — whether you live in Israel or anywhere across the world — and to share a love and knowledge of the land of Israel and its people.
