A brief history of Israeli stamps
- 1948 — The first stamps Israel's postal service issued its first stamps within days of independence. The "Coins of Ancient Judea" series depicted bronze prutot — connecting the new state to its ancient roots.
- 1950s — Building a nation Stamps celebrated Israel's agricultural achievements, immigrant absorption, and the growth of new cities — a visual diary of a country being built from scratch.
- 1960s — Art and landmarks Beautiful issues depicting Jerusalem, the Galilee, and the Negev brought Israel's landscapes to collectors around the world. The Festival Stamps series became iconic.
